Jewellery information & Care Instructions
To keep your jewellery in good condition and prolong its lifetime read these tips:
925 Sterling Silver pieces
- 925 Silver findings are made in ITALY and POLAND
- while not wearing it, keep in jewellery bag and stay out of high humidity spots, store in dry place or at room temperature.
- To avoid tarnishing do not wear while exercising, in sea water or spray parfumes directly onto it.
- if your jewellery darkens over time you can use soft micro-fiber cloth and silver dipping/polishing liquid to restore it to its shine and brightness (Never dip fresh water pearls or stones together with your chains as they can get damaged)
Gold/Rosegold/Silver plated Stainless steel
- 316L Surgical Stainless steel findings are made in USA
- nickel-free and hypoallergenic
- tarnish-free and long-lasting
- however as with all stainless steel, surface can be scratched by any sharp object, other metal, keys, stones etc. so best kept in jewellery bag provided when not worn.
Gold filled/Gold vermeil silver earrings/Rosegold filled/Rosegold vermeil earrings
- base of 925 silver made in ITALY with filling of gold/rosegold about 20% on top
- more long lasting option compared to gold plated where only about 5% of gold is used, yet this is still low-cost option compared to pure gold jewellery
- filling might wear off naturally over time but you can prevent it by taking good care of your piece i.e.: not entering sea, not bathing with it, not exercising with it and not spraying perfumes on it. Once filing wears off it will retain the silver base colour.
Brass earrings
- brass findings are made in CHINA
- naturally yellow colour and similar appearance to gold. It is a low-cost metal that has beautiful colour and shine
- used as decorative studs and hoops
- nickel-free
- those that are allergic to pure gold are usually not to brass
Brass rings
- brass rings are made in INDIA
- naturally yellow colour and similar appearance to gold. It is a low-cost metal that has beautiful colour and shine
- used as it is soft metal, great as base for universal fit rings, brass is also known to be anti-corrosive and can also withstand galvanic corrosion from salt water, in case you forget your ring on while in sea in summer, it should not affect it as much, but I still recommend not wearing your jewellery while swimming/bathing
- nickel-free
- those that are allergic to pure gold are usually not to brass
RESIN ITEMS CARE:
Interior Objects
- do not slice directly on resin surfaces or use other sharp objects, for serving, I recommend using wooden cutlery
- cannot be placed to dishwasher
- hand wash only with warm water and mild soap, avoid rubbing with sponge or wire sponge and polish only with microfiber cloth
- it is not recommended to use trays or trinkets as candles stand as resin is heat-sensitive
- items are hot resistant to approximately 60˚C, equivalent to a hot cup of coffee, but nothing directly from stove shall be placed on it
- do not leave any resin items in direct sun for long periods of time
- do not leave any resin tables and trays o in below 0˚C, as resin might shrink in extreme low temperatures, and may possible damage your table or tray metal base
Cakestands and trays
- all above + not suitable for hot food, cold food and snacks only
- for lightweight cakes only, such as muffins, macaroons, biscotti, small pastries and berries, ensure you do not overweight your cakestand to avoid damage to the handles
Tables
- all above + do not use resin coasters on top of your surface, instead I recommend cork, fabric or wool coasters to avoid scratching the surface
